Double Take in Wood is an exploration of new generation woodwork that celebrates the paring of age-old techniques and materials with contemporary design and technology. The exhibition will bring together furniture, sculpture, functional and decorative objects, featuring pieces from some of Australia's most celebrated makers.
A panel of prominent and respected woodworkers, designers and arts professionals will jury the exhibition. The prize categories will be announced over the coming months.
The exhibition will be held at Manningham Art Gallery - 18th October to 11th November, 2017.

Inviting Australian woodworkers, designers and makers to rise to the challenge of making a beautiful object or furniture piece from rough and discarded timber pallets and crates.
The work will provide an engaging way to shine a spotlight on the environmental impact of timber packaging waste.
